Do you Know WHAT WOMEN WANT?

In April 2007, the What Women Want website was launched and we asked women to look at our position statements, join our campaign to form a political party, (requiring a minimum of 500 members) and create history by running a female candidate for the senate in each state and territory.

So WHAT DID WOMEN TELL US ?

In one week we had 400 members and in six months we reached a total of 700 !   On August 29, 2007 What Women Want registered as a political party with the Australian Electoral Commission www.aec.gov.au.  For the 2007 Federal Election, we ran two senate candidates in the following states: ACT, NSW, QLD, TAS, VIC, SA and WA.  We also ran candidates in key marginal seats for the House of Representatives.

You can pay for your membership (new or renewing members) through our Paypal facility, using your credit card or bank account. Please note that you do not need to sign up to a Paypal account, you can pay directly with Paypal using your credit card by following the links under `Don't have a Paypal account?' on the Paypal screen.

For new members, please note that after paying online you will be required to download and fill in a membership form and post it to us (mailing instructions are on the form). For renewing members, please let us know of a change in your details, particularly e-mail as this is our main method of communication with members.

You can also join by mailing in a membership form with payment by cheque/money order.

NOTE:  The best way to pay is by direct deposit (no charges to us!!)  to our account.
